Refugee Boy by Benjamin Zephaniah (adapted by Lemn Sissay)

As a violent civil warrages back home in Ethiopia, teenager Alem and his father are in a bed and breakfast in Berkshire.  The next morning his father has gone.  This strange grey country is now Alem's home.  Alem is on his own, and in the hands of social services.
