Malorie Blackman (whose highly successful novel this adaptation has been inspired by) has spoken of how her ultimate wish for this story is for it to no longer hold relevance.  Unfortunately, many of your students will still feel the relevance of the powerful issues tackled in this text: racial unrest, societal divisions and political tension.  An emotional, tense drama about what it means to grow up in a divided world.   A great choice for your GCSE group.  And we've got just the teaching resources to go with it.
